Before your visit to our barbershop, it is a good idea to get familiar with some of the more popular classic cut options.

Tapers

Taper cuts offer shorter sides, and a longer top that allows for different styling options. Tapers gradually change from one length to another and offer a short, masculine, and stylish classic cut. Talk to our barber about the many different kinds of tapered cuts (high, mid, low, skin, temp, burst, razor, etc.) and how short or long you want your hair buzzed.

Fades

Fades are similar to tapers, but are cut using clippers and blend into the skin. This style can offer a trendier look with different variations.

Fades are often called “military reg” with hair tapering from the bottom to the top as close to the skin as you like.

Buzz Cuts

Many stick with the classic buzz cut as it is the lowest maintenance and easiest cut. It requires no styling, saving you time as you transition from work, to the gym, and out on the town.

Schedule your next appointment with our barber for a fresh cut. We even offer hospice haircuts, homebound haircuts, and more specialty services for men of all ages. We currently work by appointments on weekdays and allow walk-ins on Saturday from 9-1pm. The Village Barber Shop is located in Romeo on Van Dyke (Main) approximately 31 1/2 Mile across from St Clements Church on the ground level of the State Farm building with Handicap access.
